I would say it's the best 小籠包 in KS

Disgusting! The filling is mushy. Barely any soup inside the dumpling. Dumpling is small sized. Dining area is roadside dirty and small... Who compared this to Din Tai Fung? Seriously...

Best food I had in Taiwan came from this tiny food stand. Amazing. The dumplings were so good. The old person running it can't speak a word of English, but was very kind.

This establishment has been around for almost 40 years and it shows. It's family run and the dumplings were made to order when we went. The price is unbelievable for the quality you get. I would go as far as saying this is better than Din Tai Fung xiao long baos. The skin is thin, the soup is hot and flavourful and the meat/soup ratio is perfect and tender. We had the pork soup and that was great as well. Absolute must try if you are ever in KS.

Great dumplings! Staff didn’t speak English, but they just have one type of dumpling so ordering is easy. Very friendly.

Another must try if you visit Kaohsiung. Street food price with Din Tai Fung taste.

Great spot if you want to eat some good dumplings

We have literally been here at least 6 times for lunch in two weeks. The owners are all lovely, the food is great and it’s great value too! It’s a shame it’s our last day here but it was good while it lasted.

This shall given a 5 for it's quality to price. The XLB are made by the same people for years, it has good consistency and the soup is good. This is a 5 stars for its own league. However, the standard is obviously far off from Din Tai Fung but that was already a given. But it does beat Hangzhou which is DTF supposed competitor, which gives it a high compliment considering the price is way lower... road side food at its best.

Cheap and nice if you're in a hurry but this place wont be making you miss din tai fung any time soon. Worse than xiao lung bao from the supermarket or about the same quality. Nice owners though

A very unassuming place located in an alley way. But if you are ever in the area, stop by and give the dumplings a try! I found the filling and soup better than ding tai fung’s. However the wrapper was a bit on the thicker side. But considering the price, this is amazing value for a quality dumpling.

Although the menu only has steamed dumplings and two kinds of soup(sweet&sour soup and pig blood soup), they are really cheap and delicious. Plus, the owner is very kind. However, the dining area is not pleasant, be aware of the mosquitoes.

Delicious xiaolongbao. Does not exactly compare to DTF but delicious regardless and very cheap. Also the owners are quite old so they get those extra cuteness points.

Very local simple place. You can see them making the 小籠包. They have only one kind with pig meat and some green in it. They sell for 60 ntd a basket of 9 steamed 小籠包. They give you some ginger so you can make a dipping sauce to go together with the 小籠包。They also sell 酸辣湯 (sweet and sour soup) and a pig blood soup.Their business seems good because when we were eaiting there was a line of people queuing up.Nearby is a milk tea shop in case you like some drinks with the food you ordered.

The boss don't talk much but he is very attentive to his customers! The skin of the Xiao Long Bao is very chewy or as how Taiwanese like to call it - very Q. It's amazing, highly recommend!

Personally, his dumplings is even better than Dinh Tai Fung in Taipei. Cheaper but better quality. Fresh ginger, and the inside soup is sweet and not greasy at all. I wish I can go back to Kaohsiung just for his dumplings.

MUST try!!! Very cheap for the dumplings, just NT$60 for one basket! And the taste is bravo😋! All dumplings are hand-made. It served hot and all the dumplings are filled up with hot soup. Better come after lunch hour. Not much people around and no need to queue when we arrive at around 3:30pm.

Din Tai Who?!? Amazing dumplings and people. Seriously though...why waste your money at Din Tai Fung when you can eat locally and support small business while tasting some of the best dumplings ever?!?Bonus points for the family business ;-)

Simple and reasonably priced at 60 dollars. Nothing much to rave about though, dumplings are freshly steamed and tastes normal. Skin was slightly thick for our liking.
